Masters Local Team Championships
 

 
The Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill APA Masters Local Team Championships (also known as City Tournaments) are held three times a year, following the conclusion of each session. Every tournament is an opportunity to qualify for the APA National Team Championships held in Las Vegas, NV at the Riviera Hotel and Casino**.   
The top 16 masters teams and top 16 junior masters teams, based on points won during the session, qualify for the Master & Junior Masters Local Team Championships. If a qualified team chooses not to participate in the city tournament, the next team, based on highest point total, will be eligible to participate to try and ensure a full tournament board.
Teams must remain active the next session with a minimum of two players (50%) on the same roster to be eligible for the LTC. Junior masters teams are defined as a team whose entire roster consist of players with an 8-ball skill level of 6 or below (7 or below in 9-ball). Masters teams are defined as a team that has one or more skill level 7 on the roster (8 or above in 9-ball). LTC's will be seeded based on points earned during the session.
 

 

Summer Session Masters Local Team Championships

The top 16 masters teams and the top 16 junior masters teams from the Summer Session battle it out in the Summer Session Masters & Junior Masters Local Team Championship for the chance to win $800 travel assistance per player and a spot in the National Team Championships in Las Vegas**.
 
  • First Place in the Masters Tournament wins$800 travel assistance per player and a spot in the Masters Championship in Las Vegas**.
  • First Place in the Junior Masters Tournament wins $800 travel assistance per player and a a spot in the Masters Championship in Las Vegas**.
  • Second Place in the Masters Tournament wins a cash pot based on a $20 entry fee per team for the tournament. 
  • Second Place in the Masters Tournament wins a cash pot based on a $20 entry fee per team for the tournament. 

Fall Session Masters Local Team Championships

The top 16 masters teams and the top 16 junior masters teams from the Fall Session battle it out in the Summer Session Masters & Junior Masters Local Team Championship for the chance to win $800 travel assistance per player and a spot in the National Team Championships in Las Vegas**.

Spring Session Masters Local Team Championships

The top 16 masters teams and the top 16 junior masters teams from the Spring Session battle it out in the Summer Session Masters & Junior Masters Local Team Championship for the chance to win $800 travel assistance per player and a spot in the National Team Championships in Las Vegas**.

**Dependent on the number of slots awarded to our league area by the national office. Our local APA is guaranteed one (1) slot for the Masters National event for every ten (10) teams we have participating in the Masters League format. Therefore, tournaments will be Vegas qualifiers/cash tournaments, based on our team count and slots awarded by the national office.
